Life can be messy and confusing at times. I can say this from experience. My path to counseling was not quick or direct. That path came from my life decisions, and what has been poured into me from my family of origin. I grew up in a military family- moving every few years. No wonder I have had many changes in my life/career path. I worked as an RN for 30 years. During that time I also was a children’s pastor, that took me to Pastoral ordination in 2003. After my children left home, God began dealing with me about an original passion he had placed in my heart. That was to become a therapist. 2015, I graduated with my degree in Marriage and Family therapy. I have not looked back since that time. My passion is to see individuals and families gain a better sense of God’s plan for their lives and to see  restoration. Through my experience, I have found that many problems in our families are rooted in trauma and great intentions from our family’s of origin.  That is the reason that I have pursued additional training in trauma therapy and restoration of Marriages.  My favorite therapy style is combining research based  clinical practices with the word of God.
